Regal Films has released the teaser trailer for romantic comedy movie "My Rebound Girl" featuring the toprating tandem of Alex Gonzaga and Joseph Marco, who first paired in the defunct ABS-CBN primetime soap "Pure Love" in 2014.

The rmovie also stars Martin Escudero, Nathalie Hart, Mitoy Yonting, Carl Guevara, Alora Sasam, Helga Krapf, Anna Vicente, Pinky Amador, Racquel Villavicencio, Lawrence Yap and Nico Nicolas.

Directed by Emmanuel dela Cruz, "My Rebound Gill " will open in cinemas on September 28.

Star Magic, the talent management arm of the Kapamilya network, did a drug test on 40 of its artists on Saturday, August 27, amid the government's campaign against illegal drugs.

Although they didn't reveal the complete list of these artists, Star Magic, through ABS-CBN PR manager Thess Gubi said it conducted "a supervised and voluntary drug test to belay rumors of drug use in its community. This is also to discourage people from using illegal drugs,"

It added that the "results were 100% negative for Jake Cuenca, Enrique Gil and Diego Loyzaga and the rest of the Star Magic artists. Star Magic believes in the efforts of the current campaign to keep our homes and working environments drug-free,"

Gubi also said that “there will be more of this in the coming months and only those who are willing and have no prior schedule may go.”

The much-anticipated return of phenomenal tandem of real-life couple James Reid and Nadine Lustre on primetime TV starts tomorrow, August 29, via the romantic-comedy series "Till I Met You".

The series also stars fresh and upcoming Kapamilya young actor JC Santos who plays Ali, the third wheel to the love story of James and Nadine's characters Basti and Iris.

Speaking during the grand press conference for "Till I Met You" on Sunday at La Reve Events Place in Quezon City, JC shared a bit of information about his background.

JC started as a theater actor at the University of the Philippines-Diliman. He later on became a singer and dancer at Hong Kong Disneyland and at Universal Studios Singapore before going to New York to study musical theater.

In 2014, he decided to finally pursue an acting career.

"Gusto ko po maging working actor talaga sa TV and also film," he said. "Lagi po akong nag-a-audition. Kung alin po 'yung mauna, doon lang po ako."

JC also shared that he auditioned for his role in the series.

"There was this one day na in-invite po ako para mag-audition for this role. Nilatag po sa harapan namin 'yung requirements. Marami kami. On the second day, na-meet ko na si direk Tonet and binigay na sa akin 'yung script," he said.

Having played supporting roles in his past projects, JC said he was overwhelmed when he learned that he would be one of the lead stars of "Till I Met You."

"Actually nung time na 'yun, iniisip ko okay na ako kung aawayin ko lang si James dito. Gulat na gulat po ako at hindi ako makapaniwala na isa ako sa mga bida. Nagpapasalamat po ako sa pagtitiwala talaga. Punong puno ang puso ko ngayon," he said.
