Melai Cantiveros And Jason Francisco Confirm Separation

Barely 3 years after they got married in December 9, 2013 at the Holy Cross Parish in General Santos City, Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco announced separation, this, after Melai vowed on Philippine TV that they will stick it out for whatever its worth.

Thru a series of Instagram posts, Melai and Jason,  whose romance started inside the PBB house, announced that  they  decided to part ways already.

So what caused the separation of one of the most admired marriages in local showbiz?

Jason revealed that their misunderstanding started when Melai accepted the Kapamilya pre-primetime series "We Will Survive," which aired its finale last July 15.

According to Jason, they had an initial agreement that Melai won't have a partner in the series and that she will only have a leading man for the pilot week. He later said that it took him two months to find out that his wife had a partner on the show as he was also busy working on "My Super D."

Because of this they started giving each other the cold shoulder, with Francisco sleeping in another room.

Melai Cantiveros And Jason Francisco Separation, The Truth Behind

Melai Cantiveros' marriage with Jason Francisco is allegedly on the rocks, according to a source of television host Boy Abunda.

"Mayroon daw talagang problema," Abunda said in an episode of his late night ABS-CBN show "Tonight with Boy Abunda" on Friday.

Abunda also cited a tabloid article claiming to have seen Cantiveros breaking down in tears at the set of her morning talk show, "Magandang Buhay."

Francisco has since denied the rumors. He also downplayed suggestions that the two have decided to call it quits following a series of cryptic posts on his joint Instagram account with Cantiveros. One post had the caption: "Melason is over."

Fans also feared the worst for the couple's relationship after the joint Instagram account changed its name into "Melai Cantiveros" from "MrandMrsFrancisco." Some also noticed that the photos featuring Francisco were deleted from the page.

"Nawala iyong account namin. Na-hack," Francisco said in an interview aired on Abunda's late night talk show.

The aforementioned Instagram account has since been taken down. Cantiveros and Francisco appeared to have created a new page with a message that read: "Hi Melasons. Ito po muna IG account namin. Sana mabawi pa namin yung dating account."

On their verified Facebook page with more than 6 million followers, the couple posted a photo of them with their child, Amelia Lucille. "Melason is FOREVER, not OVER. Okay?" the caption read.

Cantiveros and Francisco tied the knot in 2013. The two met inside the "Pinoy Big Brother" house during the 2009 season of the hit reality television show. - ABS-CBNNews.com
