Angel Locsin Practices For Darna Role; Jessy Mendiola Expresses Desire To Play Darna In A Movie
Angel Locsin, in an Instagram post on Thursday, hints on a possible return as Darna that puts her fans into extreme excitement.
The photo where Angel is seen doing the "Darna" pose was taken in a gym with the caption: "Naks. #yabangpose".
However, director Erik Matti has yet to announce whether Angel will still play the role after she backed out early this year after developing a disc bulge in her spine. Matti was even quoted saying that it will be hard to find an actress to replace Angel as Darna.
Newly proclaimed "FHM Sexiest Woman" Jessy Mendiola, meanwhile, said she is willing to audition as Darna.

Weeks after saying that rumored boyfriend Luis Manzano is 'husband material,' Jessy Mendiola broke down in tears while facing some member of the entertainment press to reiterate that she did not cause the breakup of Luis and ex-girlfriend Angel Locsin.
“You know, honestly, if it were true, I wouldn’t be here right now facing you guys. It hurts kapag sinasabi nila na, for a lack of better term, ‘ahas’ ka. Labas ako sa kanila and what happened between the two of them. 'Yung amin, I think dapat labas na rin siya doon,” she said, crying.
Luis and Angel breakup first surfaced in January this year. Jessy earlier claimed that Luis only started courting her in May.
“For me, it was clear that they broke up already when Luis started courting me. Babae ako, it happened to me before. I wouldn’t do that to any other girl,”
“Malinis ang puso ko. I would never ever destroy a relationship,” she added.
Jessy said it is also up to Luis and Angel if they want to settle their differences as long as they keep her out of it.
“Problema na nila 'yun, kung gusto nilang mag-usap about it or clear anything with each other, I think that’s their problem. Pero huwag nila akong isasali,” she said.

Angel Locsin Admits Hurting, Jessy Mendiola Happy With Luis Manzano
FHM Sexiest Woman 2016 Jessy Mendiola, on Thursday, has finally put an end to rumors saying she already replaced Angel Locsin's spot in the heart of Luis Manzano.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Jessy said she sees nothing wrong with hanging out with the TV host.
“I am single so I don’t have any problems with that. I really appreciate the fact na he has always been there for me. He’s a very good guy. It is what it is. What you see is what you get,” she said.
The actress, however, maintained she does not want to label it as a date.
“Kasi sometimes we go out as a group. We go out sometimes. Yeah, you could say we go out and we are friends and we are getting close to each other,” she said.
Asked if she thinks Luis is courting her, the 23-year-old actress simply said: “Ewan ko sa kanya.”
But does Luis even stand a chance?
“Oo naman. I am not denying anything. Ayaw ko naman maging sobrang pretentious na wala. Meron kasi, ‘di ba? As I’ve said, Luis is a good guy. Any girl would be lucky to have him kaya siguro Lucky ang pangalan niya,” she said.
In a separate interview, Luis' ex-girlfriend Angel Locsin admitted that she has yet to move on from her failed relationship with Luis, "I'm getting there."
Angel added that she will not pretend that everything is okay between her Luis.
"Hindi ako magpapaka-plastik. Lahat naman tayong mga babae ay may prosesong ginagawa. Pero ako naman kasi, I always want him to be happy. So kung happy siya, magiging happy na lang ako para sa kanya." she said.

Despite the recent body-shaming reaction of netizens to one of her photos, Jessy remains confident. She responded via her Instagram: "My body may not be perfect but that will not stop me from being confident with myself. We all come in different sizes and shapes but that shouldn't stop us from being happy with our own bodies. Whether you are curvy, malaman, skinny, too skinny, on the plus size, or even plus plus size, you have all the right to be confident with yourself because that is who and what you are. If you don't love yourself enough, who else will?"

Jessy Mendiola Kicks Nadine Lustre Out Of FHM Sexiest Women 2016 Top Post
"If you have it, fault it!" is the phrase that probably helped Jessy Mendiola snatched the top spot in this year's Sexiest Women list of men's magazine FHM.
It will be remembered that during the early stage of the annual poll, the Kapamilya actress was visibly seen posting a series of photos showing her in a two-piece bikini while enjoying the last few days of summer in Boracay, earning her mostly praises from her social media followers.
On Thursday, FHM announced that Jessy already overtakes the consistent number 1 Nadine Lustre (READ: Nadine Lustre is FHM Sexiest Woman 2016 in Partial Result) and last year's sexiest Jennylyn Mercado who lags behind Nadine in the recent weeks. Jessy, meanwhile, jumps from 3rd to top spot in the final week's unofficial tally.
One reason that we could say prompted Nadine's fans not to fully support her in the race is the vocal admission of her real-life boyfriend James Reid that she's against Nadine's place in the competition.
Jessy only landed 23rd place in FHM Sexiest Women list in 2015.
