This year, the people have chosen Jessy Mendiola as the Finest in The Land in the poll conducted by FHM Philippines from April 1 to June 15.
The 23-year-old actress, who landed 23rd place last year, has been seen in roles where she exuded hotness in TV shows such as Maria Mercedes and Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK), where she recently portrayed a pole dancer. But the mestiza beauty proves that being sexy is beyond physical.
Despite the recent body-shaming reaction of netizens to one of her photos, Jessy remains confident. She responded via her Instagram: "My body may not be perfect but that will not stop me from being confident with myself. We all come in different sizes and shapes but that shouldn't stop us from being happy with our own bodies. Whether you are curvy, malaman, skinny, too skinny, on the plus size, or even plus plus size, you have all the right to be confident with yourself because that is who and what you are. If you don't love yourself enough, who else will?"
