Angel Locsin Admits Hurting, Jessy Mendiola Happy With Luis Manzano

FHM Sexiest Woman 2016 Jessy Mendiola, on Thursday, has finally put an end to rumors saying she already replaced Angel Locsin's spot in the heart of Luis Manzano.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Jessy said she sees nothing wrong with hanging out with the TV host.

I am single so I don’t have any problems with that. I really appreciate the fact na he has always been there for me. He’s a very good guy.  It is what it is. What you see is what you get,” she said.

The actress, however, maintained she does not want to label it as a date.

Kasi sometimes we go out as a group. We go out sometimes. Yeah, you could say we go out and we are friends and we are getting close to each other,” she said.

Asked if she thinks Luis is courting her, the 23-year-old actress simply said: “Ewan ko sa kanya.”

But does Luis even stand a chance?

Oo naman. I am not denying anything. Ayaw ko naman maging sobrang pretentious na wala. Meron kasi, ‘di ba? As I’ve said, Luis is a good guy. Any girl would be lucky to have him kaya siguro Lucky ang pangalan niya,” she said.

In a separate interview, Luis' ex-girlfriend Angel Locsin admitted that she has yet to move on from her failed relationship with Luis, "I'm getting there."

Angel added that she will not pretend that everything is okay between her Luis.

"Hindi ako magpapaka-plastik. Lahat naman tayong mga babae ay may prosesong ginagawa. Pero ako naman kasi, I always want him to be happy. So kung happy siya, magiging happy na lang ako para sa kanya." she said.

Reunited With My Growing Up Beauty Weapon - NIVEA Body

Growing up, just like the rest, I had a fair share of traumatic experiences about pimple breakage, rough dark skin. I can still recall my Tita from Abu Dhabi, UAE to send me Nivea products to address my skin concerns since the product can only be purchased from a few stores selling imported goods that time. And the price was so high, mind you.

Me, at present time.

When an invitation came my way last Saturday, June 25, to join this country's most credible lifestyle and beauty bloggers in an event that will give today's generation of active women a fun and creative way to check the firmness of their skin by the world’s no.1 skin care brand - NIVEA, without a blink of an eye, I obliged.

The event dubbed as NIVEA Skin Firmness Check was held at SM Megamall Fashion Hall and was graced by the brand's influencers led by Kapuso sexy star Kim Domingo and Kapamilya host Gretchen Ho who said that you can never be young or old enough to worry about taking good care of your skin. As age kicks in, as early as our 20s, our skin starts to lose its firmness, making today the best time to start caring for our skin, to keep it firmer for longer.

Throughout the day, guests were treated to a fun way of checking the firmness of their skin through a bungee trampoline, outfitted with high-speed cameras to capture how the skin moves as they jump. Using a motion-tracking technology, guests were shown a creative visualization of the skin’s movement to illustrate the firmness of the skin – the less movement, the firmer the skin is.

Jamie Sanico, Senior Brand Manager of NIVEA Body, said: “Our skin starts losing firmness at age 20, and so NIVEA thought of this creative way to engage younger women and help them realize the need to start achieving and maintaining the skin’s best years. By letting our consumers know about the possible factors and habits that may affect their skin, we are giving them the chance to start achieving their skin’s best years.

To further educate women on skin firmness, guests were made to assess their lifestyle through the NIVEA Skin Firmness Habit Check that revealed the habits that influence the skin’s firmness – from lack of sleep, not enough water intake, exposure to UV rays and pollution, smoking and many other factors. Talk about being every woman’s best skin care partner!

It was truly a wonderful event that firmed-up NIVEA’s position as the best skin care in achieving skin’s best years. The NIVEA white and firm range, which includes the NIVEA Extra White Firming Body Serum SPF33 provides not just fairer but firmer and smoother skin too. Extra White Firming Body Serum SPF33, with its light and non-sticky formula, contains 95% pure Vitamin C to provide radiant and fairer skin tone and firming ingredient Q10 that helps firm skin and restore its elasticity. The amazing result? Noticeably more radiant, whiter, smoother and firmer skin in just 14 days.

Jessy Mendiola Wins 'FHM Sexiest Women 2016' Poll

"The people have the power to choose who they think belong on the list, and who should be crowned the Sexiest Woman in the Philippines," says Allan Hernandez, FHMeditor-in-chief. This year, the people have chosen Jessy Mendiola as the Finest in The Land in the poll conducted by FHM Philippines from April 1 to June 15.

The 23-year-old actress, who landed 23rd place last year, has been seen in roles where she exuded hotness in TV shows such as Maria Mercedes and Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK), where she recently portrayed a pole dancer. But the mestiza beauty proves that being sexy is beyond physical.
Despite the recent body-shaming reaction of netizens to one of her photos, Jessy remains confident. She responded via her Instagram: "My body may not be perfect but that will not stop me from being confident with myself. We all come in different sizes and shapes but that shouldn't stop us from being happy with our own bodies. Whether you are curvy, malaman, skinny, too skinny, on the plus size, or even plus plus size, you have all the right to be confident with yourself because that is who and what you are. If you don't love yourself enough, who else will?"
"It's not a question of 'why her,' but 'why only now,'" says B.A. Borleo, FHM.com.ph'smanaging editor. "This result just proves something we've known for quite some time now here in FHM: We all can't get enough of Jessy Mendiola. We've all spent time checking up on her—the ads, the TV shows, the movies, her posts on social media. This woman is everywhere, her followers number in millions, and now they've managed to put their idol on top of the FHM 100 Sexiest List."
"She bided her time, honed her craft, pushed herself to be better, and now she is," adds Hernandez. "This is your year, Jessy Mendiola. Congratulations!"
