A dream love triangle comes to the big screen when the "Tisoy" Veneracion (a Filipino or Pinoy with Caucasian ancestry) and the "Chinoy" Yap (a Filipino or Pinoy with Chinese ancestry) duke it out for the affections of the hilariously, romantically desperate and confused 30-something Chinggay (Sta. Maria) as TFC@theMovies brings the rom-com "The Achy Breaky Hearts" to 32 theaters in U.S. and 5 in Canada on July 8. "Rock the Runway": A Benefit Fashion Event in Hollywood
with Rocky Gathercole on July 28
In the latest music video, "Misery", released recently by Gwen Stefani, critics described the visual treat as a fashion spectacle. Prominently featured were the red and yellow flowered dress by designer Geny Maalouf, and an ethereal all-red creation that features a La Perla bustier and tulle shirt by celebrated Filipino designer, Rocky Gathercole. But dressing up celebrities is nothing new to Gathercole. After all, his Hollywood clients include Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj, Carrie Underwood and Ariana Grande.
But on July 28 at the famous Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles, Gathercole will bring his haute fashion to help abused children in the Philippines. Coming from a life of hardship growing up in the streets in the Philippines, Gathercole's heart has never been far from the young souls who struggle to survive in abusive situations. Thus the show, "Rock the Runway" which is a Benefit Fashion Event featuring Gathercole's creations.
