As heat continues with the current administration against its critics, its refereshing to hear about the news that so far no leftist groups are planning to have a big demonstration rally during the first State of the Nation Address of President Rodrigo Duterte.
This was confirmed one of the progressive groups in the country Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) who is know to hold big anti-administration rallies during SONAs. According to Bayan Secretary General Renato Reyes last Thursday, that although there will still be a rally, this will be of support to the new President. Quoting from his statement, he said:
As a matter of fact, their plan was just to make their voices heard through the event.
